Multi-image with DSLR
Shooting multiple images with a DSLR will produce the highest quality
Pro: High-quality result
Con: Shooting is not a 1-click solution but requires some setup time and know how. Requires Panorama head and stitching of images

8k x 4k (Equirectangular format)
Chrome Ball
Shooting a chrome ball with a telephoto lens is an easy way to capture a spherical panorama
Pro: Relatively cheap and fast way of shooting. Small size, easy to place on a table. No stitching required
Con: Cheap balls scratch easily. Quality is limited if needed for reflections

3.8k x 3.8k (Mirror ball format)
360˚ Camera
The Ricoh Theta is a cost-efficient model letting you shoot the panorama remotely from your phone
Pro: Very fast way of shooting. Small size, easy to place on a table. No stitching required, clean floor
Con: Limits of camera sensor and shutter are problematic in extreme light situations such as low light or direct sunlight
